The Tuzzy Consortium Library, located in Utqiaġvik (Barrow), Alaska, provides public library services to the entire North Slope Borough and is the academic library for Iḷisaġvik College. The library is named in honor of Evelyn Tuzroyluk Higbee of Point Hope, who was a member of the original Board of Higher Education for the college. The Tuzzy Consortium Library is located in the same building as the Iñupiat Heritage Center.
Tuzzy Library is a Federal Depository Library. Resources held by the library include: books, ebooks, DVD's, audiobooks, streaming educational films, microforms, newspapers, periodicals, databases, and local, state and federal documents. Special collections include a growing Archive as well as a circulating Alaskan section with particular emphasis on arctic and polar regions information, the North Slope, and the Iñupiaq history, language and culture. The library provides 18 public access computers, terminals to the library catalog, a variety of CD-ROM based databases, the Internet, computer applications, and typewriters. Copying, faxing, and scanning services are also available for a small fee.
