What materials may I request through Interlibrary Loan?

You may borrow most items that libraries typically lend such as books, DVDs, and articles.

What materials cannot be requested through Interlibrary Loan?

We recommend that you do not request current textbooks or new books or DVDs that have been published in the last 6 months as these are almost never available via Interlibrary Loan. To request new materials for purchase, you may email your request to tuzzy@tuzzy.org.

How long will it take to fulfill my request?

The average turn-around time for an ILL request is about three weeks.

How much does it cost?

ILL is a free service for all Tuzzy Library patrons including Iḷisaġvik College students, faculty, and staff. However, if ILL materials are not returned on time patrons will be subject to fines and fees from the lending library.

How long may I keep items borrowed through Interlibrary loan?

The circulation period for items borrowed through ILL varies and is determined by the lending library.
